Small Business Saturday

The 2022 holiday season is is approaching and we are doing things Texas style this year, BIG!

Shop Small and support your favorite small businesses – both in-store and online – all
holiday season long!

Don’t forget: This year Small Business Saturday® falls on November 26th.

Communities across the Texas Panhandle will be participating to show off their unique small businesses this Small Business Saturday. It’s a day full of sales and celebrations that will include plenty of giveaways and that’s where you come into play!

This year’s theme is “Small Business. Big Heart.” and you’re invited to submit an original illustration that tells the story of what that theme means to you! The top three entries will be selected by an internal committee and voted on publicly in September. The winner will receive $500!

The winning design will be included on merchandise given away across the Panhandle on November 26th. This is your chance to make your mark and support small businesses in your town and beyond!

The following rules apply:

  1. All submissions should be original artwork created by the entrant.

  2. Submissions submitted digitally must be high resolution in JPG format and uploaded to the online submission form. Physical copies will be accepted at America’s SBDC at WTAMU - 720 S. Tyler, Amarillo, TX 79101.

  3. One submission per person, per year.

  4. The deadline for submissions is 11:59pm on August 29, 2022.

  5. Entrants under age 18 must indicate parent/guardian approval of entry. Should the winner be under age 18, the prize funds will be paid to the parent/guardian.

  6. Submissions must be a single, original design in keeping with the “Small Business. Big Heart.” theme.

  7. Entrants should reside in one of the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

  8. The winning entrant agrees that America’s SBDC at WTAMU and the WT Enterprise Center have exclusive ownership of the original design.

  9. The winning entrant must provide a valid and signed W9 to West Texas A&M University.

  10. The winning entrant must not be prohibited from receiving payments by the State of Texas
